After working to get my application ready for grad school, I needed a bit of a break. Now, I am ready to work on new content for Sand & Steam. I have found new motivation to get writing done for Sand & Steam, and it feels good. I am also taking a different tack to getting this writing done. Before, I was determined that I needed to get things written in a specific order. I know my mind a bit more clearly now, and I have realized that what I need to do is work on what I am motivated to work on, no matter what part of the Undercity that may see me writing for. The catch is that, if I start a given section, I need to finish it before I move on.
Hence, Dwarves.
Dwarves in the Undercity are divided into four different clans, all of which pursue different goals in the Undercity. I like the racial variety, and I like that all of the dwarves in the Undercity are not the traditional, socttish-accented, hard-drinking, orc-killing dwarves. The four clans are the Felgar, the Duegar, the Morgar, and the Algar.
The information I am posting today is just the flavor for the dwarves, which should be obvious, as I posted the info in the wiki. My plan from here on out is to post all of the setting info in the wiki as I get it done. If I do make mechanical determinations, I will post those in Google Docs form until I have the capability to do something better.
For now, enjoy my take on dwarves in the Undercity. I like them quite a bit.
